Travel Tip : Keep in mind that Venice is prone to flooding, known as “aqua alta,”, particularly during autumn and winter. The second time at Venice, it rained the whole time we were there. The canals were very high and ended up flooding by the time we left! It was still a unique experience seeing Venice in the rain. Checking the weather forecast and wearing waterproof shoes can make your visit more enjoyable.
