my favorite things

I’m a tea gal– and my go-to is jasmine milk tea. Although a Matcha latte is always a good idea….

My mom–a single mother who raised me, always said that being happy is the best kind of rich in this world. Her words have stuck with me throughout my life, and I’ve come to realize just how true they are. For me, having the freedom to travel and experience new places brings an immense amount of happiness. It’s a joy that fills my soul and enriches my life in ways that material possessions never could.

When I’m out exploring the world, I feel a sense of liberation and excitement that is unparalleled. Each new destination holds the promise of discovery, growth, and unforgettable memories. I’ve had the opportunity to immerse myself in diverse cultures, meet fascinating people, and witness breathtaking landscapes that have left me in awe of the beauty and complexity of our planet.

Through my travels, I’ve learned so much about myself and the world around me. I’ve faced challenges that have pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop a greater sense of adaptability and resilience. I’ve also gained a deeper appreciation for the simple things in life, like a warm smile from a stranger or a peaceful moment in nature.

My passion for travel has become an integral part of who I am, and I feel incredibly grateful to have the freedom to pursue it. It’s a form of wealth that can’t be measured in dollars and cents, but rather in the richness of the experiences I’ve had and the personal growth I’ve undergone.

Looking back, I realize that my mom’s advice was a gift that has shaped my life in profound ways. By choosing to prioritize happiness and experiences over material possessions, I’ve found a sense of fulfillment and purpose that I wouldn’t trade for anything. And as I continue to explore new horizons and embrace the adventures that life has to offer, I know that I’m living in alignment with my values and honoring the wisdom that my mom so lovingly instilled in me.

Seafood. definitely seafood. be it in pasta, sushi or anything with seafood i’d be happy.

The idea of a permanent vacation is the ultimate dream for many, myself included. Imagine being able to break free from the constraints of a traditional 9-5 job and go on a lifelong journey of exploration and adventure.

In my perfect scenario, I’d spend a few months at a time traveling the world, immersing myself in different cultures, and experiencing all that each destination has to offer. I’d start by creating a bucket list of places I’ve always wanted to visit, from the bustling streets of Tokyo to the serene beaches of Bali, and the historic ruins of Machu Picchu.

I’d take my time in each location, staying in local accommodations and seeking out authentic experiences. I’d savor the flavors of regional cuisine, learn about the customs and traditions of the people, and capture the beauty of the landscapes through my lens. Each day would bring a new opportunity for discovery and personal growth.

But as much as I love the thrill of travel, I also recognize the importance of having a place to call home. That’s why, after a few months of globetrotting, I’d retreat back to my own little corner of the world. It would be a time to recharge, reflect on my adventures, and share my stories with loved ones.

And then, once I’ve had my fill of home comforts and quality time with family and friends, I’d start planning my next escapade. The beauty of a permanent vacation is that there’s always another horizon to chase, another culture to explore, and another memory to make.

My Contax 645– it is a medium format film camera, and it’s heavy! (weighing about 5 lbs), It’s been a workhorse for me. My favorite travel camera is my Contax g1 35mm film camera.
