Walk into the town of Inverness for oysters, wine, and more farm-to-table delicacies. Tour, taste and connect with nearby oyster farmers, cheesemakers, vinters and local artisans. Or, curl up on a sofa or hammock with a book to take in the mesmerizing views and relax. Located on a sunny perch just above the historic town of Inverness you can look forward to comfortably modern bed-bath accommodations, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and a strong indoor-outdoor connection to the surrounding natural environment. This eco-friendly home is perfect for personal retreats, couples looking for a romantic getaway, as well as for families and friends looking for a comfortable, well-equipped home.
Like you, my husband and I enjoy traveling, nature, art, time with family and friends, and a good book. Marin and Bay Area natives, we live in San Francisco and work in tech and public art professions. We have been playing in Pt Reyes since childhood, and are avid hikers and cyclists. There is nothing like this home in the Point Reyes region. The home, the location and the views are so special, it must be shared with others. We look forward to sharing it with you.
Once you're in the home, you will not want to leave it's relaxing comfort. But there is so much to explore . . . all within reach of this centrally located home base. The historic town of Inverness is only a walk away and includes an oyster and wine bar, cafes and restaurants, and a grocery store and deli. The outdoor opportunities are endless. Launching from the home, you will be able to enjoy kayaking in Tomales bay, hiking throughout the Point Reyes National Seashore, bird watching in the Estero, and picnics on pristine beaches. While tempting to bird-watch from the comfort of the sofa or from one of the many balconies with a plate of local cheese and glass of wine in hand, we encourage you to get out and explore. Bring your mountain bikes and hiking shoes, binoculars to bird and whale watch, as well as daypacks, stroller, and a picnic basket. And after a day in the great outdoors you return to a relaxing, luxurious, and well-equipped home, with private balconies, a garden and spectacular views of the bay and surrounding landscape.
